Applicants must be Hong Kong officers designated to carry out their radio duties on board Ocean Going vessels and possess basic knowledge of maritime radio communications and English language. Ocean Going Seaferers who are eligible for sitting the Marine Department's Ocean Going Class 3 Deck Officer Examination.

Course Overview
This course aims to enable Hong Kong registered seamen (Ocean Going Officers) to fulfill the STCW (2010) requirement.
The course covers the theory and simulator training on using GMDSS equipments as required by the STCW (2010) VI / 2 amendment.
This is an approved course under the MATF. Successful applicants will be refunded 80% of the fees for completing pre-approved courses / examinations. For more information, please refer to MATF's website http://www.matf.gov.hk/
